You’ve all by now seen the TMZ video of Shaq freestyling his way into controversy.
The strangest responses I’ve seen are admiration for Shaq’s candor and honesty. Talk about a double standard. No such luck for other players who’ve taken their gripes public. In those cases, all we hear is that those things should be kept private.
I’ve heard that the sheriff who wants Shaq’s honorary badges returned is known for making offenders eat green bologna and wear pink underwear. Maybe that should be Shaq’s punishment, instead of getting the badges back.
The best thing Kobe can do for his image is to not respond at all. Then all the “classy” people (you know, the ones who are always calling out other people for having no class) will have to reluctantly accept the previous “un-classy” Kobe into their fold.
Kobe should copy that video to his Ipod and listen to it whenever he works out this summer.
I can’t wait for the season to start.
